Crocker Amazon is for everyone. Let’s keep it open, accessible and real.
San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is planning to convert Crocker Amazon to a suburban-style sports complex. Trees will be cut down and the lawns will be replaced with fake, toxic plastic grass, surrounded by metal fencing and blaring night lighting with limited access for the neighbors.
Let's keep it real.
Our vision is a natural setting for picnickers, farmer's markets, music, cricket, football, baseball, soccer, movie nights, birdwatching and kickball games. In other words a park for everyone — young and young at heart.

Community Meeting
Sunday, April 26
Location: Crocker Amazon Clubhouse (Moscow St. at Italy Ave.)
Session 1:
10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Session 2:
12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
There will be "community workshop sessions" held outdoors, rain or shine. They will have the posters of the project renderings for the public to review and Rec Park staff and representatives from the Giants will be there to answer questions.
We need a strong community presence at both sessions to ensure our voices are clear and heard.
We will be there with our successful setup from the Spring Fling
We will display updated designs of the People's Plan and tie yellow ribbons around trees that will be cut down. We'll display our artwork from If Nature Could Speak and perhaps the Lorax will be there to speak for the trees, too. We'll have our protest signs and flyers to share the truth about Rec & Parks demolition plans.

Speaking of the People's Plan, we're working on revisions based on survey results. You can see the first ideas on the website:

If you haven't taken our survey yet, please do! We want to share your ideas with the Recreation and Parks Department.

We can renovate the park using only the money from the 2020 bond. Keep Crocker Amazon a park for the people, not private interests.
