San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is planning to convert Crocker Amazon to a suburban-style sports complex. Trees will be cut down and the lawns will be replaced with fake, toxic plastic grass, surrounded by metal fencing and blaring night lighting with limited access for the neighbors.

Our vision is a natural setting for picnickers, farmer's markets, music, cricket, football, baseball, soccer, movie nights, birdwatching and kickball games. In other words a park for everyone — young and young at heart.

The People's Plan

We have a few ideas for the Crocker Amazon renovation. Our ideas won't remove any trees, will use only real, living, natural grass for ball fields, and don't require Giants money.
